Nikos Damigos is a partner based in the Athens office and has been with the firm since 1984. His work covers the spectrum from property law, commercial contracts, landlord and tenant matters, family and inheritance law, bankruptcy law to civil and commercial litigation.

Nikos’ specialism is real estate with many years of experience. He deals with conveyancing of professional and residential real estate. Nikos advises a number of high profile individuals and legal entities (such as contractors, construction companies and plot owners) on proprietary matters including sale and purchase, donations, inheritance and joint ownership. He also has extensive knowledge regarding properties subject to special legislation such as environmental laws, church laws and land outside the city plan. Nikos also has expertise on leases, the erection of professional and residential buildings and the agreements regulating their subsequent operation.

Nikos has been a member of the Piraeus Bar since 1984. He obtained his law degree from the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki.

Experience, key assignments and notable projects

• Acted on behalf of Carrefour-Marinopoulos A.E. in relation to the negotiations and the preparation of numerous conveyance contracts. Nikos is the head supervisor of a team of lawyers undertaking work in relation to the purchase agreements and accompanying research regarding titles of ownership and the existing charges over the relevant properties.
• Advised PRAKTIKER in relation to the due diligence with regard to the relevant property and the preparation of a report in relation thereto.
• Leading a team of lawyers he acted on behalf of MARFIN BANK in relation to the registration of prenotations over properties in favour of the bank.
• Acting on behalf of various individuals and legal entities conducting the relevant searches regarding titles of ownership, preparing research reports and negotiating the sale and purchase contracts.
