Alexandra (Aleka) Tatagia is one of the managing partners of the firm and based in the Piraeus office. Aleka has a wide-ranging transactional practice specialising in investment and banking, shipping and transport and company law. She acts for clients ranging from banks and financial institutions to ship-owners, ships’ operators and managers, brokers, foreign law firms’ clients as well as non-shipping clients. Aleka has extensive experience in ship finance, sale and purchase of ships, shipbuilding contracts, yachting, joint ventures, shareholders’ disputes and acquisition of companies.
Aleka has been with the firm since 1986, after gaining valuable experience training and working at a well-known shipping law firm in Piraeus, whilst, for a period of four years, she was based in London representing Greek and foreign clients of the firm.
Education
Aleka has been a member of the Athens Bar since 1984. She obtained her law degree from the Law School of the University of Athens and a master’s degree (LL.M.) from University College, London.
