Profile
Paris Karamitsios advises clients on litigation matters with regards to maritime law, transportation law, insurance law and commercial law. He acts for a number of first-class clients ranging from marine insurers, P&I Clubs, salvage and towage companies, ship suppliers, ship owners, charterers and foreign law firms. He is admitted to the Greek Supreme Court, before which he has handled a number of cases with great success, among which, a case which has created legal precedent, when the lifting of the corporate veil of a major Greek based ship owning company was ordered by the Supreme Court (in plenary session).
Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Paris gained significant experience training at a major German law firm in Hamburg and at the European Commission in Brussels.
Education
Paris has been a member of the Athens Bar since 2000. He obtained his law degree from the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki. Paris also holds a master’s degree (LL.M.) from Ruprecht - Karls University of Heidelberg, Germany.
