Triantafyllia (Ilia) Lazaretou joined the firm in December 2020 as a trainee lawyer and has been working as an associate since August 2022, based in the Piraeus Office. Prior to joining the firm as a trainee, she was an intern in Piraeus office.
She advises on various corporate, banking and shipping law matters, including ship sale and purchase, ship finance, ship sale and leaseback, establishment of shipping companies in Greece under “Law 89” shipping regime, shipping taxation and legal aspects of business organization.
She also regularly advises local and international clients on matters of corporate law, including the formation of companies and follow up services.
Education
Ilia obtained her law degree from the Law School of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has been a member of the Piraeus Bar Association since December 2020. Ilia also holds a Minor degree in Shipping Management from Deree College - The American College of Greece and a Master’s degree (MSc) with honours in Shipping Management from the University of Piraeus.
Her dissertation “The use of electronic bills of lading in shipping and the legal issues arising” was awarded with a Blue Scholarship Award, an initiative of the University of Piraeus and the Regional Development Fund of Attica.
